About Brett Willis

Brett Willis has been defending DUI cases for more than 20 years and he has served as a trial skills instructor for the National Criminal Defense College and Harvard Law School. Brett is widely considered to be the best DUI lawyer in Northeast Georgia. He is recognized in his community of Gainesville, Georgia for getting difficult DUI charges reduced or dismissed. He has practiced DUI defense exclusively since 2005 and has built a national reputation for defending DUI cases. Over the course of his career, Brett has successfully defended more than 2,500 clients, saving an estimated 10,000 years of liberty for the people he has represented. His work in the courtroom has earned him recognition throughout Georgia and across the country. The Daily Report has called Brett “a relentless defender” and selected him as one of the top ten lawyers under forty in the State of Georgia. He is also a past recipient of the “Defender of the Year” award from the GPDC and the prestigious “Foot Soldier” award from Gideon’s Promise. Brett’s trial skills and courtroom success have led criminal defense organizations around the country to invite him to teach lawyers advanced trial techniques. Brett is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and New York University School of Law.
