About Cale Ransom

Cale N. Ransom is a Montgomery, Alabama–based defense attorney whose practice is focused on DUI and serious criminal cases. He represents individuals facing driving under the influence charges throughout Alabama, with an emphasis on protecting clients from license consequences, enhanced penalties, and long-term criminal exposure. Ransom brings experience from both sides of the courtroom, having served as an Assistant District Attorney and an Assistant Public Defender. That background provides a working understanding of how DUI cases are investigated, charged, and prosecuted, allowing him to identify weaknesses in the State’s case and challenge them effectively. His DUI defense practice includes cases involving roadside investigations, breath and blood testing, and contested suppression issues. Ransom regularly appears in Alabama courts handling criminal matters and approaches each case with a focus on trial readiness and strategic litigation. Before entering private practice, Ransom served as a Military Policeman in the Army National Guard. He holds a Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, as well as a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University. He is also pursuing doctoral-level studies focused on criminal justice and leadership. Ransom is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. His practice is dedicated to providing focused, trial-oriented defense for individuals charged with DUI and related offenses in Montgomery and throughout Alabama.
