About Matthew Fraiberg

Matthew Fraiberg is a Michigan criminal defense attorney focused on defending individuals charged with DUI/OWI and other criminal offenses throughout Southeast Michigan. He represents clients in district and circuit courts across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, including courts such as the 48th District Court in Bloomfield Hills, the 52nd District Court divisions in Oakland County, and courts throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. Mr. Fraiberg’s practice emphasizes careful review of the traffic stop, field sobriety testing, and chemical test evidence in DUI cases. His approach focuses on identifying legal and factual issues early in the case, including potential challenges related to probable cause, breath and blood testing procedures, and constitutional protections. He has experience handling a range of DUI-related matters, including first-offense OWI, High BAC (“Super Drunk”) cases, license-related issues, and felony DUI charges. In addition to DUI defense, his practice includes representation in other criminal matters in Michigan courts. Mr. Fraiberg is committed to staying current with developments in DUI defense, including evolving legal standards and scientific issues related to alcohol testing. His work reflects a focus on case-specific strategy and the importance of early decision-making in criminal defense cases. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and participates in continuing education related to DUI law and defense practice. Matthew graduated the University of Toledo College of Law in 1997 and Michigan State University in 1994.
