About Mark Wieczorek

Mark Wieczorek has built his career on hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to defending people accused of drunk driving and other criminal offenses. A lifelong grinder, Mark brings that same relentless work ethic to every DUI/OVI case he handles. Raised in a blue-collar, lower middle-class family, Mark learned early that success is earned through discipline and integrity. His father sold clothing and his mother worked as a secretary, instilling in him the belief that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. Mark started working at 13 as a paperboy, later making pizzas in high school, and eventually working as a UPS driver while attending night school. After 5½ years of grinding it out, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree. Life didn’t slow down. During the UPS/Teamsters strike, the birth of his child, and a major career transition, Mark joined the Cincinnati Fire Department, serving as a firefighter for ten years. Even then, he wasn’t finished pushing himself. After earning his law degree, Mark served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Hamilton County under Joe Deters, where he gained invaluable insight into how prosecutors build cases. During that time, he handled a wide range of criminal matters, including OVI/DUI offenses, violent crimes, and everything from serious felonies to traffic violations. This experience gave him a deep understanding of how the system works from the inside. Today, Mark uses that knowledge to defend individuals charged with DUI / OVI offenses and other criminal matters. Having tried more than 175 cases in both state and federal courts, he understands how to challenge the government’s evidence, scrutinize police procedures, and aggressively advocate for his clients. Over time, Mark realized that good people sometimes find themselves facing serious legal trouble—especially in DUI cases where a single mistake can have life-changing consequences. Rather than remain in a large firm environment where clients could feel like numbers, he chose to return to a more personal style of practice. Mark intentionally limits the number of cases he accepts so he can devote more time, strategy, and personal attention to each client, particularly those facing DUI charges that threaten their license, career, and reputation. Clients who work with Mark get a lawyer who is efficient, diligent, and relentless. He prepares every case as if it could go to trial and fights aggressively at every stage—from license suspension hearings to courtroom litigation. His philosophy is simple: he will never be outworked.

AI in Court Filings: The Ethics Line Between Assistance and Abdication

03/30/2026

By Ryan Katz It is no secret that Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is vastly changing the landscape of many different fields. While the practice of law is certainly not something anybody would want to be taken over by AI in any major way, AI is still a tool which has applications for lawyers. Generative AI can help lawyers brainstorm arguments, organize...

Oral Fluid Testing: Roadside vs. Evidential Analyses

09/02/2025

Written by Ashley M. Hart As cannabis is being decriminalized in many states, there has been increased interest in rapid roadside tests to detect THC and other substances for intoxicated driving charges. A majority of states now have oral fluid testing in some form: roadside (presumptive) or evidential (confirmed in a lab). These states include Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Connecticut,...
