About Matthew Dorry
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. During my undergraduate studies, I interned and volunteered with the Middlesex County domestic violence agency, where he served as a court advocate and participated in domestic violence hearings. I earned my Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While in law school, I participated as an active member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and competed in two mock trial competitions. I served as a Municipal Prosecutor for approximately twenty municipalities over the course of three years before joining the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall in 2016. During that time, I processed thousands of cases involving DWI, criminal charges, traffic violations, and municipal ordinance offenses, including multiple trials, and occasionally assisted the County Prosecutor's office upon request when needed. I received specialized training from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and the New Jersey State Police in the prosecution of alcohol- and drug-related DWI cases, including but not limited to breath testing procedures. My practice is centered on criminal defense, traffic offenses, DWI cases, and Motor Vehicle Commission matters. I work to be thorough, approachable, and highly informative, making sure each client understands exactly what is happening on their matter. My mindset is strategic; I approach matters with legal arguments that are well-crafted, concise and consistent to obtain a favorable outcome.

03/30/2026
By Ryan Katz It is no secret that Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is vastly changing the landscape of many different fields. Oral Fluid Testing: Roadside vs. Evidential Analyses
09/02/2025
Written by Ashley M. Hart As cannabis is being decriminalized in many states, there has been increased interest in rapid roadside tests to detect THC and other substances for intoxicated driving charges.
