About Steve Prager
Steve Prager is criminal defense attorney and founder of Prager Law, a Denver-based criminal defense firm with a focus on DUI defense and domestic violence defense. A former prosecutor who once led the domestic violence unit in El Paso County, Steve brings a modern, strategic approach to every case—drawing from nearly a decade of experience on both sides of the courtroom. A fourth-generation Denver native, Steve is committed to protecting the rights of the accused with energy, empathy, and an unwavering belief in justice. He has been handling domestic violence cases for nearly a decade. Originally a deputy district attorney in El Paso County, Steve supervised the domestic violence prosecution unit in that office before moving back to Denver to defend people accused of serious domestic violence crimes. Using what he learned as a prosecutor, Steve takes a modern approach to cases. Where other attorneys use old-fashioned, one-size-fits-all strategies, Steve understands that criminal law is a constantly evolving field and modern charges require a modern, vibrant, and vigorous defense. Steve is a fourth generation Denver native. When he’s not defending your rights and fighting for you against over-zealous prosecutors, he enjoys playing guitar, cheering on the Denver Broncos, reading, and weightlifting.
