About Kyla M. Lee

Kyla Lee is a partner at Acumen Law Corporation, with a focus on impaired driving offences. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, and before the Supreme Court of Canada. She is a mainstay in BC Supreme Court conducting judicial reviews of Immediate Roadside Prohibition review decisions and is recognized as an authority on the subject of roadside driving prohibitions. Kyla is the founder and president of the Canadian Impaired Driving Lawyers Association (CIDLA.ca), and the Canadian Ambassador for the DUI Defence Lawyers Association. She is regularly sought out by media for commentary on issues related to impaired driving and traffic law. Kyla is the host of a weekly podcast entitled Driving Law and a weekly video series, Cases That Should Have Gone to the Supreme Court of Canada, But Didn’t! In 2013, Kyla received training in the Standardized Field Sobriety Test program and in 2017 co-taught a seminar for defence counsel with the CIDLA on the Drug Recognition Evaluation Program. She has lectured internationally on Canadian impaired driving laws. Kyla also publishes opinion pieces regularly for Huffington Post and Vancouver Is Awesome. In her spare time she… oh, who are we kidding. Kyla doesn’t have spare time.
