About Edwin L. Guyer
With over thirty years experience, Edwin L. Guyer is considered by many to be one of the pre-eminent authorities on Driving Under the Influence litigation in southeastern Pennsylvania. Over the past 30 years, Ed has handled thousands of DUI cases. Additionally, Ed has helped thousands of drivers with PennDOT related driver’s license problems. Ed began his career in 1973 as a Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney. As an ADA, Ed handled primarily felony and misdemeanor cases, ranging from simple thefts to arsons and robberies. It was as an Assistant District Attorney that Ed first began to concentrate on and learn the nuances of Driving Under the Influence law. In 1975, Ed entered into private practice and in 1985, Ed began handling DUI defense cases and driver’s license litigation exclusively. Over the years Ed has earned the reputation as being an excellent litigator and extremely knowledgeable in the areas of DUI defense and driver’s license problems. Additionally, Ed is recognized amongst the law enforcement and legal communities as being a true gentleman. Ed is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a founding member of the Pennsylvania Association of Driver’s License Lawyers. Ed has logged hundreds of hours over the years in continuing legal education pertaining to the developments in the law of Driving Under the Influence. Ed’s reputation for knowledge and excellence afforded him the invitation to special guest and host a local talk-radio show devoted to questions relating to DUI and Driver’s license problems. Ed understands how traumatic an arrest can be. He also understands that a conviction for a DUI offense can lead to jail time, high fines, increase in insurance premiums and a suspension of driving privileges. Ed possesses the knowledge and ability to steer clients through this difficult time will work hard to achieve the best outcome for each and every client.
