About Stacey Stephens Anderson

I’ve spent my career in courtrooms, standing beside people at some of the hardest moments of their lives. Like many of you, I’ve learned that DWI defense is both an art and a science—requiring sharp trial skills, deep knowledge of forensic evidence, and the ability to challenge assumptions at every turn. After decades of defending the accused in Texas, I’m now expanding my practice to Connecticut, bringing the same dedication and fight to this new legal landscape. I joined NCDD because I believe in always learning, refining my approach, and sharing insights with others who know what it means to go toe-to-toe with the state. I look forward to connecting, strategizing, and continuing to raise the bar for our profession.

Written by Neil Halttunen I want to address a common issue that DWI practitioners are facing, trying to keep FSTs out of a trial. One way is to take the position that FSTs are scientific evidence and make the prosecutor lay scientific foundation which they rarely can do. The HGN test was the result of several studies. See Generally Session 8 of...
