About Matthew P. Stephens

Prior to becoming a DUI Defense Lawyer, Matt was a Nashville Prosecutor and later a Tennessee Special Prosecutor. Much of his time with the Nashville District Attorney's Office was spent in the Vehicular Crimes Unit where he handled countless DUI, Vehicular Assault, and Vehicular Homicide cases. He is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals accused of DUI-related crimes and has a firm grasp of the complex issues associated with these cases. Matt is a licensed attorney in Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. In addition to the National College for DUI Defense, Matt is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
