The Virtual Forensic Library results from the contributions of a great many NCDD members and associated scientists. Most notably, Dr. Dick Jenson who donated his vast holdings of scientific articles and turned them over to Phil Price who digitized the Jensen Library for the benefit of NCDD. Barry Simons and Ron Moore then added their considerable holdings and designed the architecture and functionality of the Library and integrated it into our new web site. There are video tutorials available in the tutorials folder that will assist you in learning how to search, navigate and download the library materials. Also, you may add your comments to a running blog for each file. The blogs are intended to include paractice tips on using the materials. In the Forensic Library, theses blogs have been initiated by many of the prominent experts who also participate in the NCDD listserve. The Members Resource Center includes a Motions and Briefs bank and a libray of Transcripts. The Motions and Briefs are divided into National and State Specific issues, and then by trial stage: Pre-trial, Trial, and Post Trial motions and briefs. The Transcripts are divided into Opening and Closing statements, Cross of Police Officers, Cross of State's Experts, and Direct of Defense Experts. If you have material that you would like to share with other NCDD members, please submit it as follows: Scientific Articles are submitted to NCDD Regent Mike Hawkins. Motions, Briefs, and Transcripts are submitted through your state delegate. Access to the NCDD Virtual Forensic Library and the Members Resource Center are controlled to prevent unauthorized access. A username and password have been sent to all members. If you have lost or forgotten your username of password use the Forgotten Username/Password function on the web site. If that doesn't solve your problem, please contact NCDD Executive Director Rhea Kirk.
